Did you know that Cinco de Mayo is celebrated more in America than it is in Mexico?
I knew some about the history, but I did find some interesting facts while looking up accurate facts. (I say accurate because my mind is a vast wonderland and history facts get lost/jumbled up in it.)
Cinco de Mayo was about the Battle of Puebla and is not Mexico's Independence Day (which is actually Sept. 16th).
Cinco de Mayo is more important for Americans. The Mexican Army delayed the French invasion. Had the French not been delayed and lost about 500 soldiers.
