3 Favorite Summer Fruit Recipes

By Mei Yee

Here are some ideas for easy summer recipes that your child can help you make! (These are three that are favorites in our house.)

1. Strawberry Watermelon Slush! For this you will need a few ingredients.

  • 1/3 Cup Lemon Juice

  • 1/3 Cup Sugar

  • 2 Cups cubed seedless watermelon

  • 2 Cups fresh strawberries

  • 2 Cups ice cubes

Blend the first four ingredients until smooth. Then add the ice and blend until, well slushy. Then enjoy!

2. Marshmallow Fruit Dip. Pick out some of your favorite fruits to enjoy with this one! My girls really enjoy this with apples, bananas, and strawberries.

  • 1 Package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened

  • 3/4 Cup cherry yogurt

  • 1 carton (8 ounces) frozen whipped topping, thawed

  • 1 Jar (7 ounces) marshmallow crème

Mix the cream cheese and yogurt until fully blended. Then fold in the whipped topping and marshmallow crème.

3. Banana Smoothies.

Another favorite in our house as we all love bananas! To make these, you will need;

  • 2 medium bananas, peeled and quartered

  • 1 Can (8 ounces) unsweetened crushed pineapple

  • 1 Cup vanilla yogurt

  • 1 Cup crushed ice

  • ½ Cup orange juice

You can put all of these in the blender at the same time and blend until smooth. Then enjoy!
